2025.10.01 K0DV rotor swap 2025.10.01 K0DV rotor swap:

After a minor miscommunication, Doug and I set a date and time for final testing and swap of the rotor on his
tower. It's up about 55ft and has good guy wires, but the antenna is a 65lb Tenadyne, and it's not using a
thrust bearing, which makes it a bit more challenging to swap the rotor. The antenna must be lifted up and
fixed in place during the swap, and lowered gently back down onto the new rotor. 65lbs is challenging to lift
while on a tower, and a gin pole won't help without a full ground crew, so I'm going to try to use my tower
tool (furniture clamp) to do the lifting. It can't lower though so I'll need to figure that out too.
