Test D: The Speedometer/Odometer Is Inoperative

PINPOINT TEST D: THE SPEEDOMETER/ODOMETER IS INOPERATIVE

D1-D5:

Normal Operation (Escape, Mariner)
Vehicle speed information is sent to the PCM from the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module. The instrument cluster receives the vehicle speed data from the PCM over the CAN circuits.

Vehicle speed information is sent to the instrument cluster from the transmission control module (TCM). The instrument cluster receives the vehicle speed data from the TCM over the CAN circuits.
