PINPOINT TEST D: THE SPEED CONTROL DOES NOT DISENGAGE WHEN THE CLUTCH IS APPLIED

D1-D4:

D4-D6:

D7:

Normal Operation
The speed control actuator sends a voltage reference signal through circuit 199 (LB/YE). When the clutch is applied, the clutch pedal position (CPP) switch closes and routes the signal to ground through circuit 359 (GY/RD). Ground is supplied by the powertrain control module (PCM).

Possible Causes
- obstructions to the accelerator pedal or linkage
- circuit 199 (LB/YE) open
- circuit 359 (GY/RD) open
- speed control actuator
- CPP switch
- speed control cable
- accelerator cable
- PCM
