2025.10.18 JOTA foxhunt at Ingawanis:


It looks like BSA has fully restored JOTA activities for this year following Covid and Scouting America
rebranding. Our club has been asked to do both morse code and fox-hunting activities out at Camp Ingawanis.
They've got 20 scouts signed up plus another 4 probable, so likely will have four groups of 5-6 to work with.

For my part I'll be bringing all the fox-hunting gear and coordinating the event, as well as bringing a small
solar demonstration. I was recently given several code keys for club use, and have refurbished them into
two functional keys for use with a radio (3.5mm or 1/4" jack) and one audible test key. I know others will
be bringing nicer keys, but these may provide a better "starter key" look, and I bet we 'll hear the test
key getting frequent use during the day.
