When I got there I saw that the parking lot had a tall chain link fence installed 20ft from the building, well into the parking lot. It looked like some new impromptu security measure. The parking lot was very badly lit, iirc the only light was a large light on the building. I don't recall this lot being so dark in the past, it's possible they removed a central lot light when putting up the fence. I saw no other cars in the lot when I pulled in and parked at the gate. I collected my package and returned to my truck, loading the package into the back drivers seat. I saw no cars in the lot as I brought out my package. I backed out slowly, and had to back to the left before exiting the lot on the right. I saw nothing but darkness in both side mirrors, and could not see through my rear view mirror due to the tall package directly behind me. I was only creeping back, just about to stop and switch out of reverse, when I felt my truck hit something. My foot was already on the brake and I was just about to come to a stop anyway, so I stopped instantly. When I got out, I saw a red car, parked basically in the middle of what was left of the lot (after the fence went up) It was sitting in total darkness. I turned my truck around to get headlights on it so I could see it better, and took some pictures. The bottom support on my bicycle rack had contacted the front left quarterpanel, making a crease in the metal and scratching the paint. I walked back in to deliver the bad news. As I spoke with the gal at the front, I heard a woman in back exclaim something like "I bet he hit ME!" I was a bit upset at hearing this, as she sounded like she knew she was parking in a very risky location.
