Bird 43
Bird 43:
I picked up one of these many years ago and got a fair amount of use out of it, but it required you to have a
"slug" that covered the frequency range you were testing, as well as an appropriate upper power limit. So this
meant I needed to have separate slugs for HF, VHF, and UHF, and in multiple different power limits such as 5,
25, 100, and 500 watt. It was very accurate, but all the slugs made it inconvenient to use. I ended up selling
it after picking up a used Telewave meter, which had a very similar form-factor but didn't require slugs and
was still pretty accurate.
