- press Clear to toggle memory scan for a channel
  a decimal after the channel number will be lit to
  indicate a channel being skipped
- press Scan while scanning to change scan speed
  speed can be set to slow (one beep) or very slow
  (two beeps)  There is no way to make it stop scanning
  on squelch open.  Besides the documented ways,
  pressing transmit also cancels scanning.
