There may be a way to tell it to simply save the shift but I haven't discovered it yet. Shift works fine in VFO mode, it's just not saved. Saving it this way it shows split as "+-". If you don't see "CT" during transmit, it's not transmitting a CTCS tone. to delete a channel: - press [F] to enter menu - turn dial to select menu 37 "DEL-CH" - press [F] to choose a channel - turn dial to select a channel to clear - press [F] to delete the channel - press [EXT/AB] to exit menu You may need to delete and re-add a repeater if you make a mistake when adding it, because some features (like CTCS) cannot be edited on a saved repeater channel. to change channel label (six characters): - press [V/M] to change to MEM mode if needed - turn dial to select channel to edit - press [F] to enter menu - select menu 28 "CHNAME" - press [F] to change name - press a number on the mic or turn the dial to set the first character - press [#/LOCK] on the mic to move to the next character - repeat until all characters in the label are set - press [F] to save - press [EXT/AB] to exit menu to change how (all) channels are displayed: - press [F] to enter menu - select menu 29 "CA-MDF" - press [F] to change display mode - turn dial to select "NAME", "CHANNEL", or "FREQ" - press [F] to save display mode - press [EXT/AB] to exit memu
