(I need to get the exact date on this one)

Monday morning the 146.94 repeater appeared to be off the air. I was soon notified that others had noticed a
stuck carrier on the input frequency. It was too far away for me to pick up with my base, but Al (KB0VGG)
had already been out looking for it. Stan (W0SJ) and a few others had gotten a bearing with their home beams
pointing nearly due West. Al was able to verify it was somewhere near Stout, but he had no attenuation or
directional antennas so he was unable to do anything with a fist full of S-9's.

I drove out that afternoon with my MK4 and within about 30 minutes was able to identify the antenna and the
address of the transmission. I happened to recognize a callsign on the plate of a vehicle in the driveway.
It turns out he was not at home at the time, but was able to give me instructions for turning off the stuck
transmitter which I was able to do thanks to family being home at the time.
