Ghost Hunter
Ghost Hunter:
OK this product is a joke BUT it works. And like I've said, if it's stupid, but it works.... And if you look
around you can get a few very cheap. Like under $10 for two. They're the size of a big car alarm remote.
It's just an untuned RF amplifier that's sent into an op-amp for a level check, and beeps a beeper. Nothing
fancy. But it has a little collapsable antenna which actually works pretty well for adjusting sensitivity.
And just waving it around and listening for the beep makes it really easy for even young kids to use, and
participate in the final stages of a hunt.
Some place in China's cranking them out by the thousands, but only sells in lots of 100, so the sellers change
from day to day. Just do an image search for "ghost sensor" and click on what looks right to find someone
selling them in your area cheaply. Try to get a pair of them for around $10-15 shipped. They used to be on
eBay and Amazon but looks like they got taken down, probably for making false claims. Owell, they work
fine for detecting the presense of strong RF. It would be nice if they had a meter to give an idea of strength,
rather than just a been-or-no-beep. There ARE two buttons on the device though one is more sensitive than
the other, so there's that too.
