3 post-event discussion 3 post-event discussion:

Mark and Taryn hosted an event review dinner on Oct 25 to discuss how JOTA went.

Issues during the event:

- Several scout leaders were upset after the end of the final hunt due to having been given "useless"
radios for their beam antennas due to the lack of offset attenuators

- scouts could have gotten more out of the events with better suited compases and clipboards to hold
  their papers

- scouts didn't have good topographic maps of camp, lacked clipboards for papers they did have

- not enough hams available to assist scouts during fox hunts, Nathan got ran ragged

- needed another person to help with morse code also, Dave was surrounded

- morse code activity didn't have enough material to last more than about 25-30 min

Improvements for next event:

- offset attenuator electronics project for next year

- avoid sending out scout groups without fully usable fox hunting gear (combine groups if needed)

- consider switching to UHF for fox-hunting

- build code tx/rx code boards for scouts to practice code and send messages back and forth between
  each other

- finish outfitting camp repeater for reliable DMR and D-Star operation

- get additional adults minimal training on use of fox-hunting gear and techniques

- continue to try to encourage use of triangulation when hunting foxes

- Taryn is going to try to find better electronic copies of camp maps
