As the event drew to a close, we took one last opportunity to remind the scouts that the fox-hunt wasn't just
a game, but was teaching an important skill. It has applications in any search-and-rescue scenario, such as
coast guard searching for a sinking boat, or a search for a downed aircraft. Wildlife conservationists will
also use the same techniques to study and track wildlife fitted with tags and collars.
