The first thing we do is remind them of the purpose of the activity - to teach orienteering. Specifically,
to use tools to collect multiple bearings to a destination, and to use logical thinking to plan their next
bearing in order to quickly find their target.
If this were an actual emergency, they may be trying to find someone who is injured or suffering from exposure
to the cold, so they need to be fast and effective.
