This year the assistant that hid the foxes must have been half mountain goat. Up and down and up and down
we went. I got my workout for sure, and the foxes were well-hidden. The extreme grade of the terrain
made for some difficult direction-finding. Foxes on the other side of a hill often sent scouts up and down
the valley following a reflection, and readings were erratic when swinging a beam left-to-right where
the beam's distance from the ground varied greatly as it swept side to side.
