back to antennas

DX Commander Classic DX Commander Classic:

I haven't had an HF antenna since I lost access to an endpoint for my 125ft end-fed long wire, and considered
replacing my old 11m ground plane with a used Cushcraft R5 I had, but that wouldn't get me 40, 80, or 160.

Then last week I finally pulled the trigger on a DX Engineering Commander Classic. It's a 33 ft long whip with
elements along the sides, covering 10, 12, 15, 17, 20, 40, and 80 meter bands. (you can have either 30m vertical,
or replace the 30m with an 80m that dog-legs to a nearby support)

The mast pole tube is under 46 inches long, for those looking to use a gun tote to transport the entire antenna
to Field Day or Parks on the Air etc.
