I picked this up on a whim to see if it would prove useful in manually adjusting panel angles for optimal power.
It's designed to be clipped onto the edge of a panel and let the sun project a shaded dot onto the target below
to see how far the panel is off from flat-on with the sun. It works great in full sun but is difficult to see
when overcast. The hard acrylic box is easily damaged, so handle and store carefully. (mine got cracked)
This specific (cube-shaped) model doesn't seem to be on the market anymore, but there's a dozen different
round variations for sale now, just look for "Solar Angle Guide" and you'll be buried in hits. The round
ones do seem to be an improvement - they go past 30 degrees, are shorter, and some also include a compass.
