These are my favorite model of panels, and I have quite a few of them. They get most of their use in my portable
solar array, which is used mainly for Field Day exercises. I first purchased them in 2020, and they're a light,
flexible panel that I usually keep stored in solar totes, bringing them out to events and wire-tying them onto
solar frames for portable energy production.
These panels use monocrystalline cells running 18% efficiency, and can push about 5 amps at 0.5 volts each.
36 cells are mounted in four columns of 9 rows. The entrance box is mounted on the front, and contains a two
bypass diodes, each bypassing half the cells. In addition to being very flexible, these panels are also very
light, weighing only 2 pounds each. Despite their flexibility, I still try to handle them gently and not press
my luck by bending them a lot, to increase their lifespan. These panels do not contain an isolation diode.
