controllers
controllers:
You should always use a charge controller to connect your panels to your batteries, to get the most power out
of them and to prevent over-charging your battery or damaging your panels.
They come in a variety of different types, designed to handle different voltage and current ranges. A cheap
controller will get you by if you're just trying to collect a little extra power to keep a battery topped, but
if you need to collect as much power as possible or protect your battery from deep/over-charge, you'll need
to get something better lined up.
