PP to battery clamps project:




After buying several of those replacement battery bank jumper cables to harvest the high current schottky
arrays out of, I realized I could attach the battery clamps they came with to a powerpole connector to make
a super easy adapter to powerpole. (battery post, bare wires from battery, wires from RADIO, etc)

These came in really handy last Field Day, where I had a battery with bare wires I needed to hook into the
power grid, as well as two radios - one with just bare wires on it and another with lugs. Just clamped onto
them and boom, instant powerpole connections!

I intend to make another series of adapters as well, that connect a pair of single conductor inline WAGOs to
a PP30 via a short jumper. This will improve reliability of the connections to wires, since the large jumper
clamps don't get a very strong connection to the wire. (it doesn't take a lot of force to pull a wire out of
those large clamps)
