3.5-30 to 3.5-30v 100w 6a HW609:
Just a basic low-power boost converter using the LT1871 chip. Displays output voltage.
I'm experimenting with using this with solar wallets that have a low output voltage 4.3 to 5 volts) to see
if it can be used to charge a 12v battery. Some solar wallets are only intended for use as a USB charge
source, so the cells and panels are wired to produce 5v at 1-2 amps for direct connection to the USB power
rails. Most solar controllers require the panels to produce at least several volts more than the battery in
order to charge it. They convert panel voltage down using either PWM or a buck-down converter, and so
do not function at all if panel voltage isn't at least a few volts higher than the charge voltage needs to be
to the battery.
