YR-1001 fan speed controller
YR-1001 fan speed controller:
This controller is designed to control PC fans using their standard 4-wire cables. These cables include wires
for ground, +12dC power, PWM speed control for the fan, and a fan RPM speed indicator.
Three buttons on the front allow setting the fan's speed and at what temperature the fan will be turned on.
(a thermal sensor is provided) There is also a button for switching the fan on/off, although the board is
intended to be configured and then left inside the case to operate independently, not adjusted regularly by
the user.
It doesn't come with any instructions for configuration, but operation is fairly straightforward.
The connector uses a standard fan order but the plastic "key" may not work with your fan. The pin closest to
the corner of the board is GROUND. Pin left to right:
Ground (usually black)
+12v (usually red or yellow)
NC (no connection, tach / speed sense is not used by this board, usually white or yellow)
PWM (speed adjust, usually blue)
Plugging the cable in backward will connect the fan's +12v to the board's NC so it's unlikely to cause any damage.
