The wire is sold on eBay by Sky High Audio. It's a very high strand count (294 strands) so it's very flexible,
and that combined with the silicon (not pvc or vinyl) jacket makes it very flexible. I'm also using
marine grade heat shrink, which has a 3:1 shrink as well as adhesive inside. Kester no-clean rosin helps with
soldering inside a crimped connector where solder wouldn't normally want to wick in so easily.

I've had bad luck trying to buy new kapton tape on eBay or Amazon, there seem to be a lot of counterfeits.
The tape they sell is about the same or maybe a bit thinner, but the adhesive is terrible, and makes working
with it difficult since it won't stick well to anything. But it's a very useful thing to have, it's great at
protecting against heat or to hold things (like wire jacket) from shifting while solder. Try to get genuine
3M if you can. The 1/2" works well for most things, but the 1" is great for protecting jackets from heat.
If it's on an unmarked white plastic roll, it's probably NOT genuine 3M. You'll see a huge price hike when
it's on a red and yellow paper roll, indicating genuine 3M.
