N0ZYC charge guard:


This looked like a good idea, and worked for awhile, but it kept wrecking MOSFETs. I'm not really sure why,
but it was probably a problem of operating it too much inside its linear region, although the slow death of
the unit looked a lot like what you get when a BJT is being used to operate a relay and is getting beat up
over time due to flyback kicks from the relay disengaging due to not installing a flyback diode.
