I've got a bit of a wildlife reserve in my back yard, and have set up a motion-sensitive "trail camera" to
capture pictures (and later video) of my visitors, day and night.

These cameras record to SD card, and work as a normal camera with an IR filter in place during the day, but
when recording at night they swing a mechanical shutter to move the IR filter away from the lens and turn on
a built-in IR light to get some amazing videos of raccoons, opossums, and other critters of the night.
