Andonstar AD407 Digital Microscope
Andonstar AD407 Digital Microscope:
"work microscopes" are intended to assist with fabrication and repair. They're usually less powerful, have a longer focal
distance (so you can easily move in above the piece with tools) and have a built-in display so you don't have your face
pressed up against the scope and can still keep an eye on your tools.
The Andonstar is an inexpensive, long focal distance microscope with built-in display. The long distance focus
makes it very easy to use when soldering, because you're not struggling to get the iron, solder, tools, etc in
under the head of the microscope. The built-in screen is also easier to use while keeping an eye on where
your iron and tools are positioned, but it lacks the stereo view and isn't as sharp as the Amscope. There's
also less risk during soldering since a bit of rosin splatter up on the lens will be safer and easier to remove
from its lens than from the precision lenses in the Amscope head.
