I quickly realized I didn't want the headache of making my own PWM controller for the large 4-wire fan I have,
so I trolled around on Amazon and found this speed controller that includes a temp sensor and a programmable
control with display. That'll save me a lot of time, and be a lot better than anything I could make myself.
I didn't realize the board included a (lug-mount) temp sensor so I bought some of my own.

supply voltage: DC 12V (10-14V)
standby power: 30mA
max fan current: 4A
PWM: 5V at 25khz
