I used to use wire ties when I needed to bundle something that I'd need to unbundle later without tools, or
need to re-bundle after I was done using it. But my new workplace introduced me to velcro cable ties, and I
fell in love with them. Monoprice sells some really good quality ones, but they're pretty expensive. Other
retailers sell lower quality ones on Amazon. They come in a variety of lengths, though the short ones (5")
are the most common, with the slightly longer (8") ones a close second. Monoprice's ties are all black, but
the generics can be found in a variety of colors, convenient for marking/grouping wires in addition to tying
them together.
Of course they can't call them "velcro" because that's trademarked, so they're "hook-and-loop fasteners."
Monoprice's velcro is more "plush" and flexible, so it holds a little better than the generics do, but it's not
worth triple the cost for me.
