AoyueE 474a desoldering station
AoyueE 474a desoldering station:
I bought this desoldering station several years ago. It was one of the first to have a built-in vacuum pump at
a resonable price. (at the time, most desoldering stations required external "shop vacuum") It requires frequent
cleaning when using it, or you'll get a stubborn lump of solder stuck to the inside of the guard spring, so it
can be slow going if you have a lot of pins to unsolder, but it does make desoldering thru-hole parts a breeze.
Weirdly, the one I bought was a 240v model, despite being marked 120v and having a standard 120v D plug. Good
thing I have a 120 to 240v transformer handy here, I just had to make a point of clearly marking the plug.
I also ended up removing the handle and bracket from the top so I could stack other things on top to save space.
