Navi 1600 bike light Navi 1600 bike light:

After a hiatus from bike riding, I decided to turn some more wheels in 2025, and needed to get a new bike
light. After quite a bit of browsing on Amazon I settled on a Navi 1600. It checked all the boxes I needed,
including dual high and low beams, variable intensity, durability, rechargeable batteries, long run time, fit
on my wide front bar, and adjustable enough to aim the light down the trail.

This was definitely not a cheap light, but it looks pretty future-proof. It uses a pair of rechargeable batteries
that are the same general size as an 18650, although they have a proprietary front end that connects them to both
positive and negative from the front, so I hope I don't have problems getting replacements later if I need them.
either not available, or overpriced)

The light worked very well on my first ride. I didn't use the "auto" feature, but the low beam was perfect for
lighting up the dark trail, even on 1 or 2 power. (out of 4) The high beam also works well to light up the trail
farther out, but requires more power to be effective. The documentation claims 17 hours of runtime for low
beam on low power, and the battery indicator seems to be agreeing with that prediction.

Overall it seems like a very good light. It claims to be pretty water-resistant, and the shell is made from a
combination of thick aluminum on the front and heavy plastic on the back around the batteries. The handlebar
clip seems to work well.
