One easy way to sort coins is by the nation and the mint that produced them. Not every nation's mint has gotten
in on the action of producing bullion or collectable coins, but it's getting pretty common. The recent innovation
of releasing high-quality colorized versions of their bullion and collectable coins has reinvigorated the hobby
of coin collecting, and Australia's Perth Mint took an early lead on producing attractive and high quality coins
made exclusively for the collectors.

Independent groups have also been working with mints to release their own colorized versions of bullion-grade
coins being produced by the mint. This has led to a wide variety of high-quality collectable coins based on
many different themes, creating a "something for everyone" market in the revived hobby of coin collecting.
Most of these coins are limited edition, and come with certificates of authenticity and/or display boxes,
and occasionally are even numbered.
