paracord-550:




"paracord-550" is a pretty generic term covering inexpensive static lines (kernmantle) that have a coarse weave
jacket and core rated around 550lbs MBS. I believe their origin was in the military, as the vertical lines on
a soldier's parachute. Olive drab is by far the most common, and the cheapest. For a little more you can find
it in (UV-resistant) black or other colors. Safety-orange is the most expensive for some reason. It's typically
4mm in diameter.
