DBI SALA 10.5mm 138ft rescue line:




I found a "self-rescue" kit at a hamfest that included a long length of rope and some other random accessories
for cheap so took a chance on it. It included a complicated auto-locking rescue pulley that the rope was
crimped onto, and the end of the rope was damaged, so I ended up cutting all that off, coming away with 140
feet of rope, along with the rest of what was included. I was pleasantly surprised to find a basic harness,
fall-arrest strap, and decent carabiner, in addition to a basic strap and high-vis vest. All-in-all, a good
deal. This rope is now my short "heavy lift" rope. I use it whenever it's long enough, to avoid damaging or
wearing on my good 300ft "long-lift" Speleo rope.

DBI/SALA isn't a rope manufacturer though. By the looks, I'm guessing this is a Sterling rope, but I don't
have a very high confidence in that guess.
