M-series load-lifting pulleys M-series load-lifting pulleys:

I use these standard lifting pulleys in various places. They're available in a wide variety of sizes and loads,
and include a swivel on the back. As a climber, it's a good idea to let the ground crew handle the lifting and
lowering of loads and even lighter bags etc, to conserve your strength for the work on the tower.

In addition to the pulley at the top, I use a second pulley at the base of the tower, so that the ground crew
can stand well-away from the tower and pull away from the base of the tower instead of from the pulley at the
top. This has numerous advantages, including eliminating side-loading on the tower, keeping the pull line away
from guy wires and other nearby structures, and keeping the ground crew away from the base of the tower for
their safety.

I use M20 for light lifting such as bags, and M50 for heavy lifting such as tower sections.
They're made of stainless steel, and so are also suited for use as a long-wire lift pulley on a tower.

REMEMBER: WLL on a pulley is total weight ON the pulley. Each side is half that, and that's where the load is.
