back to lanyards

dual shock lanyard dual shock lanyard:

I picked this up along with a harness at the DMRAA hamfest in 2025. I was more interested in the lanyard, though
the FallTech harness was a nice bundle bonus. I wanted to have one of these lanyards in case I ran into a climb
that requires me to be "tethered at all times". In other words, I'd need to "crab-walk" up the tower (using a pair
of hooks) and only move one hook at a time. My main harness only has one ladder hook, and the tether is short, so
I'd need something like this to do that sort of a climb.

This lanyard was made in 2014, and the inspection tag was mint. There were no signs of wear, although the yellow
of the lanyard was a bit dirty in places, suggesting it spent most if not all of its life stored in a recovery bag.
It likely was sent to the hamfest after getting pulled and replaced at the 10-year-mark due to shop regulations.

These are also available on eBay in generic forms at more reasonable prices, though the metal on those clips looks
like untreated steel (looks silver instead of gold) and rust could be a problem.
