PD-162 recorder:

I bought this recorder years ago as a note-taker, and it worked pretty well. When it died I looked around for
a replacement but didn't find anything I liked.

Last year I bought a refurbished Apple Watch, and one of the main reasons was its built-in audio recorder. I've
been getting a lot of value out of that feature, probably due in part to getting used to taking audio notes
with this recorder years earlier.
