Sharp Aquos 52-inch flat-screen TV Sharp Aquos 52-inch flat-screen TV:

I got this TV in Sept 2008 when my living room got refinished. It got very little use, and is unused today
due to not having cable TV service or an outdoor antenna.

It was bought at Best Buy (after the salesman at Sears refused to sell it to us because he was "holding it"
for someone else) Price iirc was $2,300 - big TVs were sure expensive back in those days!

It came with a stand but I removed that and mounted it to the wall instead.

I got it with the "black tie" warranty, and when it came time to upgrade the firmware, it refused to take. A
service call was made (sine it was too large to be required to be brought back into the store), and the tech
that showed up was also unable to update the firmware. He came back a few days later with a new motherboard
and swapped that out instead. I haven't had any problems with the set, and one of the reasons I got it is it
has a large number and variety of inputs, and for a time I was using it (instead of my receiver) to switch
sources, since it would switch video as well as sound.
