I got out my IR camera to check the panels for hot spots. I wasn't really expecting to find any, but it was
still good to see the temperatures to be very even over the panels. With the mostly overcast skies today, there
was no shadow visible on the panels, but the IR camera was clearly showing areas of the panels being shaded by
the trees far overhead, prompting me to adjust their position slightly.
My initial placement of a low power EMI filter at the battery turned out to produce a considerable amount of heat,
so I re-arranged the controller wiring and swapped in a higher power filter, which ran significantly cooler.
Although that smaller filter is a good performer, it isn't designed for the 30+ amps it was passing at times.
