I keep an eye on this to see how the panels are performing. My standard configuration has four 36-cell panels
in series, which develop 89 volts no-load (VOC) or 59 volts full-load. (Maximum Power Point / MPP) I usually
refer to this meter at the end of the event to see how many Wh of solar power my panels provided.

During the event, I watch the Watts coming in off the panels. If the Watts are good (for the number of panels
I have out), the solar is doing fine.

But if the watts are low, I check the voltage to see why. High voltage (80's) means the batteries are close to
fully charged and aren't demanding much power. Low (60's) means the panels aren't getting enough sun, which
could be due to overcast skies or the panels need to have their angle adjusted. Voltages in the 70's usually
means everything is normal and good power is coming in.
