2 arrival and setup:




I stopped at kwikstar on 9th/Washington to fuel up the Explorer before leaving town, and was rather shocked to
pump almost 18 gallons into a 15 gallon tank from pump 6. I might be having a word with them about this.

Setup was scheduled to start at 8am, since the event officially kicks off at 10am, though I wasn't able to get
myself out there until quarter after 9. I was expecting we'd have a slow startup though and the solar wouldn't
be needed immediately, so that should work out fine.

As usual, I had a lot of gear to unpack, most of which was in wide variety of small, medium, and large plastic
totes. This helps keep things organized and easy to find, as well as lets me pack a few things that probably
won't be needed and can be left in the truck instead of taking up room in the cabin.

Space in the cabin is limited, so we made use of the bunks for equipment storage, though being mindful that there
would be several of us sleeping overnight so we needed some of the lower bunks to be uncluttered. Some gear could
be placed on the upper bunks or simply slid under the lower bunks.

This year's radio setup was similar to previous years - two stations were set up on the East end of the cabin,
on the bunks to the left and right of the door. The bunks are kind of short after the mattresses have been removed,
so you have to lean a little forward to use the radios, and the corners are bit congested if you have two people
at a radio, but it works out okay. These also have a window right above them, and we pop out the screen and
feed coax (and solar power) out from there.

The cabin includes a large round table that we usually use for food and other misc drop-offs, though it ended up
also hosting a radio later in the day as Curt (NK0T) tried to get a CW station running on the club's FT-991.
