We usually include a Picnic as part of our Field Day event, partly for the socializing and partly because of
all the hard workers that need a chance to eat. When Al (KB0VGG) arrived, he fired up the grill after spending
a little time on a radio. There were some absolutely enormous brats hitting the fire, (along with a thick steak)
and I got my cheese dogs cooked up as well.

For Saturday, people brought a variety of chips and snacks to share, as well as a cake, ice, and bottled water.
I brought my 2 gallon water jug as well, though I was scarcely the only one to be using it, despite the high
temps we had. (I made a pretty good dent in my water, as I struggled to keep hydrated)

Randy (KF0JPR) kicked off Sunday morning with a few boxes of donuts, followed by Taryn (N0TKC)'s great
"egg bake" for breakfast, that really hit the spot.

In years past, the club has sponsored food on and off the grill. This often resulted in large amounts of food
being bought but not actually eaten, with a lot of left-overs to take home, both cooked and uncooked. So this
year we just asked everyone to bringing something to eat, grill, and share. It looks to have worked out pretty
well - no one went hungry and leftovers were minimal with nothing going to waste.
