3 solar and power:




As is pretty typical for a WFD, solar struggled to accomplish much. The building had a fairly clear view of
the sky in the directions of the sun. The faces of the building were less than ideal for leaning panels
against, but I was able to at least get a little bit of sun. The other issue was the heavy overcast the entire
weekend, which left even 1600w of panels struggling to squeeze any power out of the sky.

There were also only two stations set up today, and they weren't heavily used. (and not manned overnight) so
limited power demand will also affect what I can collect on Sunday morning. When you see panel voltages over
60 volts, it means that I have more power available than the load/batteries are willing to accept.

I set up my "power station" on the left side of the right desk, next to one of the radios. The event organizers
had intended to bring a generator, but it wasn't available and they only had some smaller lithium battery packs
for their radios, so my big lithium battery and solar came in handy. There were some concerns about EMI noise
that might be generated by my solar controller, but my inline noise filter did a great job of cleaning the DC.

In the end I only collected 336 Wh of solar energy. Not terrible, but not bad, especially considering the poor
conditions. (ignore the Wh totals on the indoor meter, I forgot to reset it from the last event)
