solar solar:

By this point I had bought 2 sets of four flexible panels and was experimenting with different ways to combine
the panels together. I had also just gotten a smallish "home grade" solar controller to handle the increased
power output. The controller also has a higher voltage limit for the panels, which gives me the option to
combine panels in series. I had most of the batteries around the shelter chained together and was able to
keep all the batteries fairly well topped off until the sun started going down.

This was the first time I'd gotten my panels rained on. While the panels themselves are waterproof, the panel
combiners are definitely not. Thankfully I brought a few large ziplocks and was able to get the combiners
protected from the light rain.

NC0N also brought a fair size foldable solar array to test and see if it would keep his battery charged.
