====================== IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ====================== Until January, we will be using .940 or Zoom for our meetings. Doesn't look like the Covid situation is getting any better, for August we will be utilizing Zoom for our meeting. As we get further into the year, this may change. There were 13 in attendance this evening, listed below. MINUTES ------- Adjustments to last month's minutes: (none) Minutes approved with no adjustments (KE0IWP / W0ALO) TREASURER'S REPORT ------------------ Dave (KD0DK) reports we have $1,090.18 in savings/repeater fund and $2,272.20 in share-draft. This includes last month's purchase of Bill's 7300 for $800 and $25 for return of Al's shelter reservation. Nathan will also be getting reimbursed for the other shelter reservation and Tom needs to be reimbursed for our domain name (2 year) renewal for $40.34. (N0ZYC / K0CQH) Please contact Dave if you would like to get your dues paid for the year. Our club membership form is also available on our club website at http://www.w0mg.net/ REPEATERS --------- Nathan (N0ZYC): "the noise" is back on the 94 repeater but it seems to be working fine otherwise COMMITTEES ---------- Repeater Swap Committee (Jan/KE0RKO, John/WB0MAR, Curt/NK0T): no report Presentation Committee (Curt/NK0T, John/WB0MAR): no report OLD BUSINESS ------------ Field Day followup: Nathan (N0ZYC): we didn't seem to run into any real problems this year? Dave (KD0DK): suggest we have a pre-field-day walk-through on radio use for those that need it, so they can spend less time figuring out the radio and more time operating next year. Harold (N4HRL): we were planning on doing some training but Covid curtailed that. Mark (N8TWO) should be compiling the report and submitting it Dave (K0CQH) was able to get the software from Mark installed on his home computer and logged dozens of contacts from home for the club. John (WB0MAR): the field day logging software was easy to use and worked well Harold (N4HRL): considering the resurgence of Covid, we may have to revert to zoom / 2m repeater meetings until it settles down Move to meet vial zoom/94 for August (NOZYC/K0CQH) Dave (K0CQH): we're probably going to have to scrap the August picnic? Or do we want to postpone it to September? Nathan (N0ZYC): Considering the main event is eating (ie masks off) August is probably not going to be possible, move to postpone. NEW BUSINESS ------------ Weekly club meet-and-eat: HyVee's club room has been taken over for use in preparing pickup-at-door and delivery orders. There's no information on when it will be available for dining again. Taco Tuesday at Taco John's is probably also on hold. Harold (N4HRL): xmas dinner is also going to have to hold up as TBD. Dave (K0CQH): What are we doing with the 7610 (Carol's radio) now that we have the new 7300 for the remote station? It's going to be reassigned as the club's field day radio. Nathan (N0ZYC): Maybe get some cheat sheets on how to run it since it's a bit complicated to use? Dave (K0CQH): What's the status of VE testing? ARRL is currently doing "drive-up in-car testing". Cory (NC0N) took two tests from home - they take over your computer / webcam and monitor your test taking remotely. Dave (KD0DK): Any update on Al Jones, how's he recovering from his recent surgery? Sounds like he's doing OK.
