Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) Jamboree on the Air (JOTA):

Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) is a Boy Scouts event that teaches kids about radio, basic electronics, soldering,
direction finding, orienteering, and does lost-scout exercises. Scouts participate in several events
throughout the day, including assembly of their own tape measure beam, and a foxhunt where their pack
(as a whole or in 2-3 separate groups) go hunting for several transmitters hidden around the area.

Most years its held at Camp Ingawanis just outside Waverly. The central campsite is hilly and open, but the
surrounding area is very steep and rugged terrain, with dense trees, fallen logs, and thick brush. This makes
the hunts fairly challenging, despite the short distances.

Both cub scouts and boy scouts participate in all events, and in 2021 we saw our first batch of Lion Scouts.
