I aslo did a quick inspection of the coax and control cable on the roof. Mike had gotten hail earlier this
year, but it doesn't look like it hurt the cables. I did spot a chunk of jacket a squirrel took off the control
cable. It didn't damage any of the wires though, and just needs a little weatherproofing. But I don't think
that will do anything to prevent future squirrel damage.
I'm suggesting he use some split wire loom tubing to armor the cables while they're in Squirrel Alley. I've
had good luck with this. It's thin and offers NO protection against chewing, but the squirrels just don't get
the crunchy feedback they're looking for on their teeth, so they seem to leave them alone. Being split, it's
also easy to add to already-installed cables.
