back to 2023.10.15 diagnose and pull down damaged rotor cable

4 removing control cable 4 removing control cable:

We decided to take down the control cable and repair it for now, and possibly replace it next season. I don't
have time to repair the cable now so I will just stuff the used mastic into the rotor port to keep the weather
out of it until we can get the cable repaired and back up there.

So for the time being, the antenna still works, he just can't turn it. But it wasn't turning anyway due to the
squirrels cutting wires in the control cable. But it would be nice to get this fixed before winter, otherwise
he's going to be working a single bearing until spring.
