A) Communication is vital. Prevent frustrations, misunderstandings and resentment.
B) Surround yourself with people more intelligent than oneself.
C) Capitalize on the Experience of others. Listen to what they have to say, find the value, apply it.
D) Personal time. Don't burn out.
E) Spend the top 80% of your time on the top 20% of your clients.

1. train and share knowledge: don't be the only person that knows how to do anything.
2. be proactive: try to prevent problems. always prevent reoccurrence. prepare for problems you anticipate and cannot prevent.
3. give your customers what they want. figure out what they want before they do. don't assume, interact and research.
4. automate. learn to calculate tradeoffs for development, savings, and applicability.
