2024.09.24 lightning cable fried
2024.09.24 lightning cable fried:
A user unplugged a lightning cable from their phone and dropped it on the desk. In a million-to-one odds, the
end of the lightning cable landed on a power strip that was on the desk, and the lightning connector dropped
right into one of the outlets, on the hot side.
I'm told it made a loud bang and emitted a shower of sparks, and the computer suddenly shut off. The lightning
cable was plugged into a travel dock, and the dock was plugged into the computer. The lightning end was visibly
charred, and the travel dock was destroyed.
What are the chances of that happening?
