back to 2006 Escape

2016.03.08 brake pad dragging:


I had a caliper fail on my escape. A little over 2 months later I noticed my brakes were grabbing, and so
I got out and looked at the discs with my FLIR. I got quite a surprise to see the same wheel's disc temp
had exceeded my FLIR's measuring limit.

Back to the shop. Turns out the new caliper had gone defective, but fortunately still had two weeks of
warranty remaining, so it was a free repair. This single incident completely paid for my FLIR.

I think the rotor got warped a bit, it's wearing unevenly, but I suppose they weren't going to say anything
about that when they replaced the caliper, since they'd be on the hook for that too. *shrug*

1 front left 152 degrees	2 front right 145 degrees	3 rear right 126 degrees	4 rear left OVER 248 degrees
