2023.03.14 SD card:


Student brought in an SD card that appeared okay but would not mount or even detect. We were hoping to find
a cracked trace between the controller chip and the SD contact, but unfortunately it was one of the now common
"very short" board at the end above the SD contacts. And incredibly, the single chip package itself was
deeply cracked, through the entire package right up to the board below it. This meant that any damaged trace
was encapsulated, and it was beyond my ability to repair. RIP 128GB card and its photos/videos.
